Schedule from US Principal Max Delgado

The May schedule for upper school eliminates optional Tutorial meetings twice per week and expands synchronous learning time.

Only senior or mixed grade classes met Monday and Tuesday this week, with a new schedule kicking off Thursday for students in 9-11 classes. Principals in all divisions sent communication to families and students starting on Apr. 27 letting them know about the change.

US Principal Max Delgado wrote that “thoughts and feedback” from the survey sent out mid-April, “have been extremely valuable as we assess our programs and make adjustments to better serve our students in the coming weeks.”

Teachers used professional development time May 4-5 to build Google Classroom sites for all courses, as well as train on programs to enhance presentations and facilitate online discussions.

The first full week of the new schedule starts May 11, with the final class May 27, followed by days for capstone test / presentation days. Finals for the year have been canceled.
