DOUBLE TROUBLE. Sophomore Miles Coates Cush runs across the field after intercepting a pass giving him ball possession. Coates Cush has been playing lacrosse for four years as a close defensive player on the field. He describes lacrosse as a perfect outlet for himself. “Lacrosse is known as the medicine sport and for me it's just that,” he said, “No matter what the world is outside, once the helmet is on, the world is shut out.”
The Blackhawks Lacrosse team competed against Park Highschool, the Wolfpack May 14 at 7 p.m.. The Blackhawks team is a co-op hosted at Minnehaha with Saint Paul Academy and Summit School, Concordia Academy, DeLaSalle, St. Agnes, South St. Paul, and St. Croix Lutheran. Just 40 minutes into the game, both teams had to face playing in the rain and a lighting intermission. After putting up a competitive fight, the Blackhawks lost to the Wolfpack with a final score of 6-8.
