However, the library has free eBooks and audiobooks one can check out with just a few clicks on the St. Paul Academy & Summit School website, under an SPA email address. The importance of books is stressed even more this year. The whole day is set aside for looking at a screen; time off it is just as, if not more, important.
Here are four books among the library’s growing collection of ebooks and audiobooks that you should be reading this month:

Night Flying Woman: An Ojibway Narrative by Ignatia Broker
Assigned for US history each year, this book is also good to read in the month of November, as it is Native American Heritage Month. Following the story of many people in an Ojibwa tribe, this ebook describes the eternal effects of the tribe’s encounter with a group of European settlers.

The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson
With a recent second season release, the popular Netflix original show The Haunting of Hill House is actually based on this book. For those of whom the TV has become their best friend, listening to or reading a book of a favorite show or movie would be really healthy.

Tenth of December by George Saunders
This eBook houses ten fiction stories, that explore various themes: love, war, loss, class, and more. Published in 2020, get a headstart reading some of the books this year brung. On MackinVIA (where SPA’s eBook and audiobook library is), one can leave notes about the stories.

Purple Hibiscus by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
Following the story of a young girl and her relationship with her family, this is the story of a religious Nigerian family and their experiences with a military coup. While not listed on MackinVIA, it is an audiobook in SPA’s catalog here.
