Seniors Nina Starchook and Kat Bragg get ready to design their respective club boards.

Dean of Students Chantal Thornberry sent a message to student clubs Wednesday announcing the start of the annual Bulletin Board Contest. Thornberry wrote, “Want to wow your fellow students and draw them into your organization? Want to earn that Blue Ribbon award? Want free snacks for your next meeting?”

Categories for awards include:

  • Most informative bulletin board
  • Most visually appealing bulletin board
  • Best Design Lab use
  • Judge’s choice

Junior Andrew Bai is a co-president of the Political Discourse Club. He said, “One idea we have for the bulletin board is a cardboard cutout of Joe Biden.”

Senior Kat Bragg is a leader of Community Action and Service Club. She said, “At our next meeting, we are going to decorate them [the boards] together as a club. We are going to dominate.”

Thornberry, Director of Computer Science and Engineering Kate Lockwood, and Elected/Selected Leaders will judge bulletin boards during tutorial Sept. 21.

Winners will be announced at assembly Sept. 24.
