Partial Solar Eclipse:  The Moon will cross in front of the Sun, partially blocking its light, on Thursday, October 23.  The edge of the Moon will first reach the edge of the Sun at 4:23 p.m.and will reach the greatest extent of the eclipse at 5:35 p.m. at which time 60% of the Sun’s diameter will be covered.  The eclipse will continue through sundown at 6:15 p.m.  If the sky is clear, we will have solar telescopes and suitable filters available on the upper athletic field that afternoon for your safe viewing pleasure.  Any questions, see Dr. Heilig.
