“The beginning of the game was rough. A lot of people were throwing helmets, stuff like that. But once we came together, we started to play a lot better. It seemed like everyone was having more fun. Even though we didn’t actually get the win in the end, once we pulled together it was just a lot better game.” sophomore Sam Konstan said.

The varsity baseball against Blake on Monday, May 6 didn’t start well for the SPA boys’ team.  The team wasn’t working together while playing on the field, and couldn’t manage to get enough hits to gain a run, with multiple players striking out. They regained their composure later in the game and managed to work better together. Even though they didn’t end up winning, by the end of the game they were able to prove and show their skills as a team and as individual athletes.

Spartan Baseball squares off against May 9 at 4 p.m. against New Life Academy at the HealthEast Sports Center.
