Boys baseball had a delayed start to their season because of the foot of snow that fell in the middle of April and with the rescheduling of their games, the season started with one of the toughest tests: two-time defending state champions Minnehaha.

They lost the game in five innings to the Redhawks who tout a roster with several Division 1 recruits and great hitting throughout the lineup.

One of those top-level recruits, Noah Dehne, sent a home run over the fence in left field in a fifth inning that put an exclamation mark on a three-inning, 13 run, onslaught that closed out the game.

SPA’s next game is tomorrow at St. Anthony Village at 3:00 PM.
