![ECLIPSE. A solar eclipse is a rare event in which the moon is between Earth and the Sun, blocking the view of the sun. In other parts of the United States, the view of the Sun will be totally blocked, constituting whats called a total eclipse. Winter Student Art Exhibit applauds student artwork

Art is for everybody. The annual Winter Student Art Exhibit opened Jan. 6 and the reception takes place Jan. 25. In Harry M. Drake Gallery, student artwork reflects the artistic freedom that is granted to art classes. Ceramic pieces, paintings, photography and sewn clothing are all in featured within the gallery. Students from Senior Art Seminar and other students who take art classes all have works placed thoughtfully throughout Drake gallery. The next Iris: Art and Literature open mic night will take place on Jan. 25 in conjunction with the Winter Student Art Exhibit.
