The Mississippi National River and Recreation Area have their visitor center located in the Science Museum of Minnesota. They can see the river from afar but have no access. Their offices, however, sit in a high-rise apartment building. Tucker Blythe, the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area superintendent, said, Our offices are at the foot of a high-rise apartment building. I sit across the street from the federal courthouse. I cant see the river from where Im at. The Mississippi River Learning Center would physically connect National Park Service to the river.
