My friends started calling me Echo because a lot of the time if I’m with a group of friends and zone out, I’ll just repeat whatever other people around me are saying. Connection with family and culture through food: Lunar New Year

By interviewing freshman Ann Li and sophomore Minh Tran, this video takes audience through behind-the-scenes of preparing cultural foods in celebration of the Lunar New Year in both Chinese and Vietnamese cultures respectively.

The event included a number of cultural dishes along with posters highlighting various countries and ethnic groups.
Each Lunar New Year, Macou, China, celebrates with a Dragon Dance at Macau Fishermans Wharf. Dragon Dances are common in celebrations since Chinese dragons are a symbol of the countrys culture and are seen to bring good luck to the audience as they dance.
