ECHO. Sophomore Echo Dayton started going by Echo in 7th grade, a name that originated from her friends. My friends started calling me Echo because a lot of the time if I’m with a group of friends and zone out, I’ll just repeat whatever other people around me are saying. Director of College Counseling and Academic Planning Mary Hill will be retiring at the end of the school year, marking the end of a meaningful career. “I just feel ready to kind of rediscover myself, and that sounds kind of corny, but really to know myself and live my life in a way that isn’t so centered on this work,” she said.
