From coconut oil to HIV: Advanced Science Research students present their studies

Diane Huang, Online Editor-in-Chief

The Advanced Science Research students presented their first set of studies on May 20 in the lower library. Research ranged from new food products one might add to their diet, such as stevia or coconut oil, to studies in Parkinson’s disease and HIV. Several research questions also explored bioremediation through plants or bacteria. The Advanced Science Research students will continue their research in the fall semester next school year.
