[HYPE REEL] Spartans host fencing invitational (Q and A)

The Rubicon did a “Q and A” with a couple of athletes associated with the fencing team. This is what they said:

Q: When did you start fencing
Milan Mishra’s answer: I started when I was 8, so I’ve been doing it for 8 years now.
Maik Nguyen’s answer: I started fencing in 10th grade so 3 years now. The reason I started fencing was because I was burnt out with tennis.

Q: What keeps you fencing
Mishra’s answer: I’m still doing it because I enjoy always having goals to work for, and it’s something I can focus on other than schoolwork.
Nguyen’s answer: I kept fencing because of the friends I made on the team.

Q: What is a funny memory from the past year of fencing
Mishra’s answer: I’m not sure I really have any funny memories, but I really enjoyed fencing at the Junior Olympics this year, especially in the team event.
Nguyen’s answer: Sasha (the head coach) is super funny. We get him to do crazy things for a TikTok or random video. for example, we had him crouch down and jump towards the camera while roaring like a tiger. Now that the season is over, I won’t be fencing anymore.
