Freshman Mary Grant, freshman Mackenzie Kuller, and sophomore Hallie Sogin coincidentally all wore striped sweaters to school.

As the weather gets colder, drinks get warmer, grass frosts over, and students reach for an easy and versatile pullover. During the fall, especially in a school environment that demands cozy, warm attire, sweaters are an easy and fashionable go-to. This year, however, the style for sweaters tends towards stripes, sometimes with a twist, like colorblocking. Most popular are traditional black and white stripes, which still vary greatly in appearance; stripes can be broad or thin, widely spaced or tightly packed, and even horizontally striped. They can also be paired easily with colored jeans or even another pattern, if you’re careful to make sure there’s at least one color in common in the two prints.
