With a 9-10 record, the Boys Baseball Team’s season ended on May 21 from a loss against Nova Classical Academy. However, this loss does not represent what the baseball season turned out to be: one of long nights and great bonding, especially through music.

The playlist is full of classic jams 9 out of 10 people will surely know the lyrics to. Iconic 00’s artists, like Lupe Fiasco, Pitbull, and Calvin Harris take up a part of playlist, but rock and country take up the other half, with half-discographies from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Florida Georgia Line.

“I think it has a wide variety of different genres,” junior Josh Meitz, the curator of the music for the team, said. “The Show Goes On,” Time of Our Lives,” American Kids,” and “Take Your Time,” by Lupe Fiasco, Pitbull & Ne-Yo, Kenny Chesney, and Sam Hunt, respectively, are all songs able to be heard from the baseball field as the players are warming up before a game.

Although the season has ended, the music the baseball team listened to was a great segway into the humidity, summer nights, and fun with friends that summer is full of.
