Quixotic Coffee offers caffeinated concoctions and study space

Tucked between the Highland Grill and Cleveland Wok, the Quixotic Coffee is commonly overlooked by people driving or walking past. Walking into the shop, the glass windows are a barrier between the shop and the noise of the busy street outside. At the counter, the menu items are displayed, including various coffee beverages, a cup of fresh orange juice, or pastries from PJ Murphy’s.
The red walls and wooden furniture invite customers to take a seat. Near the shop’s entrance, there are wooden counters and chairs against the glass windows which are also a great place to sit and study. “There aren’t many people, so I can do my homework,” freshman Ellie Findell said.
A little further in, there is a glass room isolated from the the rest of the shop. This room can be reserved ahead of time online for $10 per hour, but for each hour booked, the customer gets a $10 gift card for coffee. If no one has the room reserved, one can feel free to settle there. With exam preparation picking up speed, this may be somewhere to consider visiting with some friends prior to exams as opposed to heading to the coffee shops across from school, although the walk is a little far to make between exams. And yes, there is free Wi-Fi.
The baristas make drinks quickly, generally with an Instagram worthy design. The environment of the shop provides students with a place to focus with something to drink by their side. It is also directly across from the Highland Theater, so students could go with friends simply for something to drink before or after heading to watch a movie to wind down after exams.
