Faculty advisor of Film Club Randall Findlay prepares to draw names from a bowl to determine the winners of the raffle. “Kids that stayed for all six movies got a shot at winning prizes,” senior Film Club president Christian Koch said.

A few dedicated movie lovers showed up to school from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. for a vampire-themed movie marathon on Jan. 19. A wide variety of vampire themed movies were shown, from classics to comedies to thrillers. Students were “basically just watching great movies that have vampires in them, but nothing else in common,” senior Film Club president Christian Koch said. Film Club normally just shows one movie every week, so this movie marathon was a fun new way for students to be involved with Film Club. As an added incentive to come to the movie marathon, “kids that stayed for all six movies got a shot at winning prizes,” Koch said, and they were entered into a raffle contest to win one of three DVD’s. Film Club meets every Thursday in the Lecture Room.
