This morning at 9:15, the entire SPA community gathered for an all school assembly on Lang field. Kids from the ages of 4 to 18 were all in attendance to continue the shared school traditions that take place at the assembly.
The seniors made a tunnel for all the lower school kids to run through, resulting in excitement or complete terror from many of the younger kids.
Then the years-long tradition of seniors giving beads to the kindergarteners was set to begin. The seniors would form a half circle preparing to leave in groups of three to give beads to the future generation of Spartans. Many kindergarteners were given beads from the older kids that they look up to,a sign of a bright future for them.
Dr. Ottley then gave some remarks about our school’s core values of belonging and community.
Lastly, to end the assembly off all of the SPA community broke into the schools signature song, “Stand up.”
