The stands were filled on Tuesday with friends and family supporting Girls Varsity Basketball. Their opponent was long time rivals, Breck. Senior Ayla Straub said, “playing Breck is always a competitive game for us so it is amazing to get a win.”

The game started off a bit slow but the Spartans managed to consistently stay ahead. During the first half a Breck player shoved senior Addy Hedberg into the opponent’s bench. Addy Hedberg took the challenge and scored the free throw given after the foul. Every shot by the Spartans was responded by the crowd with loud cheers in support. The half ended with the Spartan leading 24 to 9.

Spectator Galen Juliusson said, “It was a very exciting game and I’ll definitely come and watch another one.”
