Exams begin this week. Sophomore Turab Naqvi talked about how he likes to study. He said, “I like to study slowly; I start my studying 3 weeks in advance.”

Exams offer a chance to share what has been learned in class, but it’s also one of the most stressful times of the year. Students prepare in different ways. Some like to take it slow and study over weeks and weeks of time. Others like to cram all of a years worth of information into a little one hour session right before the exam starts.

Sophomore Turab Naqvi talked about how he likes to study. He said, “I like to study slowly; I start my studying 3 weeks in advance.”  Cramming isn’t a technique he resorts to: “No, that never works for me. I like to space out my studying and take my time and stay organized.”

Freshman Tessah Green said she starts prepping a little later than Naqvi: “I start studying one week away from exams.”  But, like Naqvi, Green doesn’t cram for exams.

Many studies show that the best way is to take time and learn all of the information slowly.
