Within a world that is more digital focused, some students have also struggled to stay focused at school. This year, SPA has placed so-called “phone garages” in many classrooms, where students are instructed to place their phones before class so as to avoid distraction.
2019 has been a big year of pop culture, which was reflected on RubicOnline, as A&E writers covered a wide variety of topics, from the school spirit fashion of Homecoming Week to a local coffee stand working to battle homelessness.
Upon hearing the growing concerns and complaints of fellow sophomore classmates, the members of the Sophomore Class Leadership Council felt obliged to help plan a small surprise for their class, attempting to lift spirits and boost motivation.
The Grade 11 Advanced Art Workshop final exhibition, titled “Junior Tycoon: Build an Art Gallery,” displays paintings, sculpture, drawings, fashion and more. The gallery is open from 6-8 p.m. every day that school is in session, and closes May 27.
