Girls Varsity Soccer plays with a leg up on the competition

Girls Varsity Soccer, one of St. Paul Academy’s most consistently successful teams, is outplaying the competition once again this fall, to the tune of an 11-3 record. One of those wins was a stunning 3-2 upset of number one-ranked Eastview on Sept. 24, boding well for the team’s chances in the state tournament . The team is paced by sophomore Molly Fiedler and senior Maddie Hanson, with 18 and 14 goals, respectively.   They play their homecoming game against Blake at X:00, on Saturday, October 6 at Lang Field, in a match that senior captain  Nina Perkkio says will be a close one. “We are going to have to be at our best to beat them,” she said.
