PASS IT ON. Senior Natalie Weibel passes on her legacy to a ninth-grader in SAC.

As senior elected-selected leaders get ready to pass on their leadership roles this week, they decide what legacy they want to leave for the new generation of leaders.

Student Activities Committee Co-President Natalie Waibel, who has been a part of the SAC since 9th grade, wants to be remembered by younger members as someone to look up to. “I want to be remembered as someone who got things done, as someone who was fun and welcoming [...] I want to [...] make public speaking seem less scary,” Waibel said.

Upper School Council Co-President Cerena Karmaliani wants “to be remembered as someone who tried to get as many people involved as possible. I want to leave behind that I was actually a voice for the student body at that point,” Karmaliani said.

SAC representative Raven Glaser, who served on the committee for just one year, hopes that “people will continue to think about allergies and inclusivity when planning the dances.” Next month, she “wants to plan a great prom that will be remembered by the grades attending and that people enjoy themselves while they're there,” Glaser said.

The seniors’ last day is tomorrow, and elections for next year’s elected-selected leaders will be held on May 8. Ninth-grade elections will be held in the fall.
