Monica Bryand
Monica Bryant is the Executive Co-Director of Operations for Voices for Racial Justice and has worked in fields pertaining to social justice and activism for nearly her entire professional life. In her Speaker Day presentation, Bryant discussed the intersectionality of all her personal identities, from being a woman to being a lesbian and Latina, mainly focusing on how they have affected her professionally. Bryant also talked about how she experiences privilege as a Latina with lighter skin, a non-Hispanic-sounding last name and what it was like growing up as a young gay woman in Catholic school.
