In 2020, Jayton Metcalf launched Blind Havoc to raise awareness to all of the negativity that was occurring throughout the world during the COVID pandemic, and to spread positive messages. Blind Havoc has rapidly grown since its launch due to many reasons. Metcalf has a kiosk at the Rosedale Mall in Minnesota, as well as an online store. Blind Havoc now has over 34,000 customers and has spread a wide influence among adolescents.
Metcalf found a unique way to sell his clothing; at a kiosk at the mall. Metcalf took inspiration from a brand in New Orleans that had a kiosk at the mall even while making a major profit online, so he did the same, turning the boring mall kiosks with plastic toys and phone cases into one that stands out with its exclusive clothing, which he currently runs himself, every day of the week.
Blind Havoc’s unique message and style have appealed to Minnesotans. I have seen people wearing Blind Havoc more and more often, and I think it has become significant in the fashion industry of Minnesota. With the growing popularity of the brand, Metcalf is able to spread his message of ignoring what’s negative through his clothing.
Metcalf sticks to his Brand’s goal of spreading positivity. He makes sure to help everyone as much as possible at his kiosk and loves to chat at any time. By actually having a strong meaning behind the brand, it separates Blind Havoc from other clothing brands and helps push a positive image to the world, which entices more consumers to wear the clothing.
Metcalf’s brand even got recognition from Suni Lee, an Olympic Gymnast from Minnesota, seen visiting the Rosedale popup shop on the Blind Havoc Instagram page, where she bought some of the apparel(Instagram). Blind Havoc has also been worn by other famous sports players, like Gable Stevenson and Rashod Bateman, who both saw the uniqueness in Metcalf’s clothing and made sure to wear it often.
I think the clothing is very unique, and has a wide variety of styles, with more styles being made now. I personally have 2 full zip hoodies, which are very unique, being able to zip all the way so they cover your face. I also have a pair of shorts and a pair of pants. The clothing is able to combine its positive message along with its comfort and style, which makes it very appealing to the teenage audience. The positivity has been very well spread throughout the Minnesota community, with so many people repping Blind Havoc. Metcalf’s mission to spread positivity has been achieved but is far from over. With very affordable pricing, Blind Havoc is definitely a good purchase if you want to add more meaning to the clothes you wear.
