DC’s Legends of Tomorrow evolved from a group of heroes and villains featured on The Flash and Arrow. Moving to a spin-off show it featured the beloved characters fighting time traveling villains while traveling in time themselves. In the series, there is only one character, Firestorm of the original Legends. The show makes more jokes than the rest of the series’, however that does not make it any less impactful with the plot. By drawing on The Flash and Arrow they have a more versatile cast and additional villains that that would not appear on either show. The villains have various reasons as to why they do not appear anymore. For example, Thawne was from the 22nd century and the main antagonist of the first season of The Flash. In the show, he disappeared because his ancestor sacrificed himself in order to save the people in Central City. He appeared on the Legends because there was a version of him that had escaped death due to a loophole in time travel which gave viewers an alternative ending. If you enjoy all of the CW’s superhero’s shows and seek an alternative ending, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow airs on Tuesdays at 9/8 central time.
