Arrow

Arrow (2012) stands as the oldest superhero show on the CW network and has grown into a darker show than its counterparts. The show is based on Green Arrow, an archer that fought crime in Star City and occasionally fought alongside the Justice League. Arrow differs from its comic book origins in the beginning of the series with a completely different backstory and outlook than the original Oliver Queen. Arrow stands out as it focusses on the darker aspects of how superheroes do their business. The first season alone shows the masked superhero murder lots of people by shooting them with his arrows. Oliver has used his connections to the Bratva (Russian mob) in order to get information to kill the main antagonist. The overall darker twist on the classic character provides thoughtful insight into Arrow. Throughout the latest season, there has been no need to watch the previous seasons in order to understand what is going on. However, catching up on the old seasons helps build a connection with the show. To see inside a superhero’s darkest desires tune in to see Arrow on Mondays at 9/8 central time.
