After five touchdowns, players from the three school combined football team – Wolfpack – walked away from the game with another win under their helmets. The team, composed of 66 players from St. Paul Academy and Summit School, The Blake School, Minnehaha Academy, won their Friday night game at Blake 35 – 0 against the St. Paul Johnson Governors, moving the team to 2 – 0 on the season with defense that has still yet to give up a point. Senior running back Dawson Rademacher started off the game with a rushing touchdown, his second of the season, followed by one of senior wide reciever Dalante Peyton’s two touchdown receptions on the night, and junior Soren Birkeland added another  to push the lead to 21 – 0. Then Dawson Rademacher and Dalante Peyton both got their second scores of the night, with each touchdown being followed by a successful extra point from Johnny Hartfiel to make the final score 35 – 0.

Despite not being far into their season – only having played two games, one of which was rained out – this win proved motivational to the players: “I’m proud of the team, and with us now having two wins to start the season it is a good boost of confidence [which we can] carry into the rest of the season,” junior Mark Ademite said.

Many SPA fans showed up in head-to-toe pink while the players wore pink socks for “Tackle Cancer Night” in order to raise cancer awareness. With stands full of support from family, friends and faculty across all three schools behind them, the Wolfpack kicks off the season with confidence.
