Junior Tina Wilkens has four dogs, and the one thing they share in common is that they are all smaller dog breeds.

“In my house that I live in, I have a dog. Her name is Lily, and she’s a Yorkie,” Wilkens said.

Even for a Yorkie, Lily is undersized.

“She was the runt of the litter, so she’s tiny and defective. She’s kind of apathetic and really scared of people. She also likes barking,” Wilkens said.

Despite being terrified of humans, Lily makes up for it in intelligence.

“A lot of people don’t like Lily as much as Taco because Lily doesn’t really like people. But Lily’s extraordinarily smart. She takes advantage of my parents like no one else has. It’s absolutely incredible,” Wilkens said.

Lily does this by seizing on the attention given to her when she’s hurt.

“She’s had a few injuries over the years. She tore her ACL, which is incredible. She was chasing a squirrel and didn’t prepare before doing that. I think she fakes a lot of her illnesses, or side effects of her illnesses, because every single time she does, she gets food for it,” Wilkens said.

At Wilkens’s other house, she has two dogs who are slightly larger but equally as interesting.

“I’ve got a dog named Bodhi, also known as Hank,” she said.

According to Wilkens, Hank is Bodhi’s internet name, which explains why it has nothing in common with his original name. When asked what an internet name was, Wilkens said, “It’s an internet name.”

“Bodhi is this absolutely messed up animal. Not even sure that he’s a creature,” she said.

The reason why Bodhi the Chihuahua has such odd tendencies can be explained by the fact that he was rescued from a puppy mill.

“He spent seven years there, so he’s very messed up and you can tell that he lived in a cage most of his life because he runs around in tiny circles for fun. That’s how he gets his exercise,” Wilkens said.

However, Bodhi is recovering, and in Wilkens’s words, he is “almost a real dog.”

The other dog at the house is Theo, whose internet name is Crunch Jr. He is also a Chihuahua, but unlike Lily, he is large for his size. Wilkens speculates that this is because he is part Rottweiler.

“He’s a crazy little puppy,” Wilkens said.

Finally, Wilkens’s sister has a quirky Chihuahua named Taco.

“She looks like a cow, she acts like a cow, and she’s the best dog ever. In the morning, when they wake up, she smells like Cheetos,” she said.

Taco has some unique likes and dislikes.

“She eats grass, she likes boys, she does not like children. She has attacked a child after that child hit my sister’s car. Taco is iconic,” Wilkens said.

In fact, Taco is so iconic that she has her own Instagram. Follow her at @heiress_taco.

The reason why Wilkens loves small dogs is because they are portable. However, if she were to have a big dog, she would love to have a husky.

“We would be best friends and it would be the best dog ever. This is going to happen in my life. You can’t stop me,” she said.
