US Announcements: Volunteers needed for The Bike Classic this Sunday, September 9

Lunch:  Soup and Sandwich Day: Deli Sliced Meats and Cheese, Chicken and Tuna Salad, Baked Potato Bar

1) The Bike Classic is this Sunday, September 9th and volunteers are needed! A group of 2 or 3 friends will be assigned to each intersection along the Mississippi river blvd. to help the bikers in the race. It is a lot of fun and it is good for the community. Please talk to Peter Wood if you are interested in volunteering and who you would like to volunteer with.

2) SENIORS – College Seminar meets this Friday in the Library Classroom.  To support this, you DO have an English d-day this Friday.  We try to assign most seniors to free periods, but some are assigned during d-days. Check posted signs. Please bring your laptop, and let us know of any questions.  (College Seminar meets  one more time this quarter, on Sept 21).

3) Fall Odyssey applications are available outside the deanery and online.  They’re due on Friday.  See Mr. Wensman or Ms. Hamzawala with questions.

4) Attention Student Interest (Thursday) Group Leaders:  Please come to Upper School Council’s meeting Wednesday, September 12th at 9:55 in the Library classroom. We would like to follow up on last year’s meeting and discuss your plans for this year.  Thanks, USC

5)Students who have turned in a course request form should check their Veracross portal to see their list of courses; as soon as the class information in the portal changes, students should begin to follow their new schedule.  If there is a problem with your course request, you will receive an e-mail explaining the issue.  Please see Mr. Hughes if there are questions.

6) Hola amigos!  Calling all students that are still looking for a student group, or just want some more information about a great new group this year called Spanish Club. Our goal is to educate the community about Spanish culture, events, and language through music, dance, food, movies, and more! Please come and join us today in room 126, and every Thursday you can, to learn more about Spanish club. We would love your ideas about events you want to see happen or things you want to do. Come give us a try, or talk to group president Krista Viksnins, or faculty advisors Sra. Salido and Sr. Castellanos if you can’t make it today.

Hope to see you soon/ Hasta pronto!
