Upper School math team places first in season and state meet

Finding the area of rhombi cut from a prism of wood. Calculating the angles on a polygon with forty sides. These are some of the problems students might face while participating in a math team event.

The math team, consisting of eight students on the scoring team, attended the 2013 Minnesota State High School Mathematics League state meet on March 11 at South St. Paul High School. The team received first place for highest number of points during the regular season for Tier II and first place for the Tier II state meet.
