The Yellow Wallpaper clinches first at subsections

After a successful night of one acts on Friday, Jan. 25, The Yellow Wallpaper, directed by US English teacher Eric Severson, competed in the subsectional branch of the Minnesota State High School League One Act Competition at Harding High School against four other one acts on Saturday. The Yellow Wallpaper took first place with a perfect score and while a stage adaptation of Lois Lowry’s book The Giver won second place, edging out Harding High School’s production of Just a Phase He’s Going Through. The two one acts will be competing at sectionals next Saturday in Milaca. If The Yellow Wallpaper finishes first at sectionals they will continue on to the state competition, held on the O’Shaughnessy Auditorium at The College of St. Catherine.
