![ECLIPSE. A solar eclipse is a rare event in which the moon is between Earth and the Sun, blocking the view of the sun. In other parts of the United States, the view of the Sun will be totally blocked, constituting whats called a total eclipse. A total eclipse is a completely different event that is another level of coolness. The week in sports
Baseball came back from a tough 2-12 loss to Como Park Saturday to beat Breck 11-3 on Monday and Minnehaha Academy 7-4 at CHS Field.
Softball followed a 2-10 loss against Providence with a big 8-4 win against rival Blake.
Girls Lacrosse won against Columbia Heights 17-4 but lost on Monday to Osseo 7-18. Boys Lacrosse lost in a close match against Mound Westonka 5-4.
Congratulations to Spartan track and field, which had a great showing at the 3AA True Team Section meet including two first-place finishes: Jack Hlavka (800m) and Julia Taylor (long jump).
Boys tennis brought home two wins this week: MPA 5-2 and Hill-Murray 6-1.
