The Riverview

The Riverview Theater, which stands in the Longfellow neighborhood of Minneapolis features “21st-century technology in a 1950’s style theater,” as their website states. Built in 1948 and updated in 1956, The Riverview remains one of the only single-screen theaters in the Minneapolis area. Like many other theaters with a similar “step back in time” atmosphere, Riverview features a select few movies at selective times. Now playing at The Riverview is Ralph Breaks the Internet, Bohemian Rhapsody, 2019 Oscar Nominated Shorts Documentary, and Bumblebee for just $3.00. With the exception of Bohemian Rhapsody, each movie plays once a day in the little theater located on 42nd Ave. Once inside The Riverview, customers are greeted with old-fashioned decor and a single showing room which features green chairs lined up in rows to face the screen.
