The cherry on top: sophomores complete service hours
Sophomores Eloise Duncan, Ellie Rosso, and Lizzie Kristal are happy to receive their sweet treats.
May 20 was spent by sophomore students lined up outside of an ice cream truck during X-period. This was initiated by US Science Teacher Ned Heckman as a reward for every sophomores turning in service hours. An ice cream truck was promised at sophomore retreat if every sophomore completed service; but many students were surprised when they heard the announcement in the Monday morning blue-sheet. “I feel rewarded enough just by doing service, but ice cream is always a benefit,” sophomore Isabelle Wolpert said.
