Efforts to maintain student and faculty health generate an excess amount of plastic waste.
Often times, the straws given out at resturants and that can be mass-bought at grocery stores, degrade easily. A reusable plastic straw, which is thicker and about the same size, can last a lot longer than the cheap and flimsy straws.
