Mentor Program adjusts to pandemic

SPA's mentorship program has been a staple of the SPA experience for years, but this year with COVID 19 pandemic the program has had to make a few major changes.
This year, many mentors in the menor-mentee program have five mentees. Last year, the average was two.

The mentor-mentee program will benefit sizably from a tighter selection process.
The mentor program should expand through out  the year to complete a full circle between the seniors and ninth graders.

Cherish senior legacies, build community

Because seniors leaving the school is one of the many changes in the school during Spring, the graduating class' legacies are not reflected upon until too late.
Junior Zeeshawn Abid meets regularly with freshmen  Emilio Alvaro and Wyatt Bliss, attending extracurriculars and helping them navigate Upper School.  “I love being [a mentor]…Freshmen this year have such a great opportunity that none of us had,” Abid said.
