ECLIPSE. A solar eclipse is a rare event in which the moon is between Earth and the Sun, blocking the view of the sun. In other parts of the United States, the view of the Sun will be totally blocked, constituting whats called a total eclipse. A total eclipse is a completely different event that is another level of coolness. So if they [the students] have that chance, they should absolutely take the chance to see a total eclipse if they ever can. The next one in Minnesota will be the year 2099, Astronomy and Planetary Science teacher Joseph Martin said.

SDLC assembly introduces Five Ds, underlines key steps to prevent harassment

On Jan. 18, students gathered in advisories for the Student Diversity Leadership Conference (SDLC) Assembly to expand students' learning about the community and ways to de-escalate potential harassment.
The school needs to focus now on not only helping students (especially white students) handle race, but also making SPA is a school that can be safe for students and community members of color. This can only be achieved by bringing more diversity into the school community and making sure that SPA changes in order to keep that diversity.
