“Walkin’ in a Winter Wonderland” is a famous line from the 1934 pop song “Winter Wonderland,” and the new semi-formal dance that shares its name was held at the Town and Country Club on Jan. 11.

Senior Cristina Zarama socialized with friends at the dance. “It was pretty,” she said about the decorations. “I personally thought it was going to be kind of the standard Valentine’s Dance but just pushed up a month.”

“It was fun at the beginning and by the end I was really tired,” freshman Sonia Sukumar said. “[The dance] gave me a chance to talk to people I normally don’t talk to.” Sukumar enjoyed the Town and Country Club venue.

Senior Aidan Arnold also liked the location. “Last year the space [for the Valentine’s Dance] was smaller so this year was a little bit different in terms of the atmosphere, because people had more room to move around,” he said. “It wasn’t as crowded and dense.”

“I indulged in the very extensive food bar available to us, took lots of pictures, [and] spent time with my date,” Arnold said. “The table set-ups were very elegant and there was a lot of shine and sparkle all over the room.”
