The Rubicon

Amodhya Samarakoon
Senior Amodhya Samarakoon serves as the RubicOnline Chief Visual Editor and Editor-in-Chief of the new quarterly feature magazine The Aureus. Amodhya’s favorite school subject is science, specifically biology (but not botany!) Instead, she loves medicine. In pursuit of experiential learning of her favorite subject, this summer Amodhya traveled to a high school and pre-medical student summer internship at the Stanford School of Medicine to hone her cardiothoracic surgical skills. This super-editor then visited family in Sri Lanka, attending her cousin’s colorful Buddhist wedding. Much of Amodhya’s free time is spent working to make the Rubicon, RubicOnline, and Aureus lovable and stylish for the readers; however, in her spare moments she also appreciates cuddly cats and fashionable clothing. This school year, the classes Amodyha is most looking forward to are Psychology, Economics, and (of course) Rubicon.
