When describing what experiencing a powwow is like Hunter commented: “It's probably like any other, theater event. You have your spectators, and then you have like the main act, which is the dancing. Just be respectful, don't judge, because this is something that's very important to us. If you ever want to go to a powwow, you totally should. Senior Isabelle Wolpert has been a classical musician for almost 11 years. She took a new turn with her involvement in classical music this year when she founded Musicians for Equality, a student run organization fighting for diversity and inclusion in the classical music world. Wolpert recounts how she founded the organization with Portland based high school pianist (who she met through the classical music world) Nate Strothekamp, “Me and Nate were supposed to have a recital back in May, and the murder of George Floyd happened right before our concert. Me and Nate at first decided to dedicate the piece we were playing to Floyd, but we realized there was more we wanted do.”

"I like this outfit because it's comfortable for sitting at classes for most of the day but it still feels pretty presentable. My style hasn't changed much due to online school because often times, what I wear reflects my mood and I like to feel semi productive even while at home. One of my quarantine essentials is my tennis shoes because even with track being canceled, I’ve been going on a lot of runs. I also need my AirPods to listen to music while running. I also have been reading a lot of really good books. I’ve read "Missoula" by John Krakauer, "Unorthodox" by Deborah Feldman, "The Lost Girls of Paris "by Pam Jenoff, "Little Women" by Louisa May Alcott, and I’m currently reading "The Latehomecomer" by Kao Kalia Yang. Another recent essential is a mat that I’ve been doing yoga on or just lying on it outside in the sunlight. Even though my family has cut down nearly all visits to stores or other outings requiring human contact, anytime we do see people, we need our homemade masks.
