Spring sports in bloom

[nggallery id=17]

After a cold and wet season beginning, spring sports came to an end almost as soon as they started.  With teams going into hyper-drive to fit in all their games in a season half the length it should have been,  St. Paul Academy and Summit Schol athletics still pulled through for a full and successful season.

“The late season storms and cold weather took a major toll on practices and truncated the competition season from about 8 weeks  to about 4 weeks.  It meant games almost every day for some teams and creative planning for others, but in general we were able to get almost everything in.  Let’s just hope we do not see another spring like it any time soon,” Athletics Director Peter Sawkins said.
