Spanish exchange students arrive, excited for 2 weeks of cultural immersion

September 15, 2017

A group of 26 students from El Colegio Malvar in Arganda del Rey, Spain, arrived on Sept. 15. Each student is paired with a host family from the US Spanish language program, who they will be living with until their departure on Sept 26. The purpose of the exchange program is to share culture, language and history between countries. As such, exchange students will participate in cultural outings to the greater Twin Cities area, visiting the Minnesota History Center, the Capitol, and the Mall of America, among other landmarks. Keep an eye out for students from El Colegio Malvar at SPA, where they will be touring different classes over the next two weeks, and help make them feel welcome.
