St. Paul Academy and Summit School’s Science Alliance student group is working hard towards triumphing in important future events. The small group of 15 students, along with adviser Upper School math teacher Bill Boulger, looks forward to the Science Bowl in December and a regional event in February. “Right now we are deciding what event we want to do for the upcoming Science Olympiad,” Sophomore Science Alliance member Eva Perez-Greene said. Perez-Greene noted that the group has strong talent in the earth science and robotic events. In order to be successful at events, the student group needs to overcome many obstacles that other schools do not face. Many of the other teams competing in the Science Bowls represent classes at other schools while SPA’s Science Alliance meets only once a week.
However, Science Alliance looks forward to enjoying their time together. “I hope that this year we have a lot of fun,” Perez-Greene said. “I hope that this year people the freshman fall in love with it and stay with it.”

In other parts of the United States, the view of the Sun will be totally blocked, constituting whats called a total eclipse. A total eclipse is a completely different event that is another level of coolness.
