What can you not see, hear, or smell in the St. Paul Academy hallways? Sophomore Riley Tietel preparing for a hunting trip.
Tietel loves to hunt all sorts of game, including rabbits and deer. His keys to shooting success are showering with scentless soap and remaining quiet when on the hunt.
“You have to be prepared to be kinda sneaky,” he said.
Up until this point, Tietel has had more luck with smaller game.
“My favorite thing to hunt is deer, but I’ve had more luck with rabbits,” Tietel said. “Rabbits are a challenge. They’re are quick and smart—they know what’s up.”

Tietel has been hunting since middle school, and is now the leader of SPA’s trap shooting team.
“I’ve always had an interest in hunting, fishing, and being outdoors,” Tietel said.
If you can’t find Tietel in the SPA hallways, he’s either too sneaky or with his dad and friends hunting in the parks of Afton, Minnesota.
