Q: You were named Star Tribune prep athlete of the week on Mar. 11. What does that recognition mean to you?

It means a lot to me; [I’ve put] in a lot of work. But I didn’t do it all by myself; a lot of my teammates and my coaches helped me get that.

Q: What is your normal workout?

I’ll stretch for a couple of minutes and then I’ll do some form shooting with a basketball. Sometimes, I want to work on my jump shot or I’ll work on finishing

Q: What is your favorite part about playing basketball?

The team aspect. Knowing that you don’t have to do it all by yourself. That you are going to have four other teammates with you to help you out.

Q: Has your height been an advantage on the basketball court?

In some cases it has been an advantage, but it other cases it hasn’t. It’s nice to be tall because I can see over defenders. But, when I’m this tall it is easy for point guards to try to isolate me because they will probably be quicker than me.

Q: What is your greatest strength on the basketball court?

I would say my passing.

Q: What is your proudest moment on the court?

Minnehaha game. When I saw I was going to get subbed out knowing that we were going to state. That’s the proudest moment I’ve ever had.

Q: What is the best part about being on the basketball team?

The players. The guys are so nice. It is so nice to be a part of a team sport.
