Arshia Hussain opens the artistic portion of the CAIR-MN 2015 Benefit Gala with a piece called “Freedom Ain’t Free” by Raef, the first of many performances by local artists seeking to convey their passion for civil rights through creativity. “Tonight we’ve seen all kinds of people from all kinds of walks of life enjoy themselves, laugh at themselves, be inspired by the poetry, the art, so it’s really a unique event and we hope [it will inspire] people to do more work,” Jaylani Hussain, Executive Director of CAIR said.
