How do you get to school everyday?
Lucia: Usually, my parents take me in a car.
Lucie: I take the bus, or my friends will drive me.
When do you wake up, and when do you go to sleep?
Lucia: I wake up around seven on a weekday, and I go to sleep at eleven.
Lucie: I wake up at 6:30, and I go to bed at 10.
What do you usually eat for breakfast?
Lucia: Eggs, or yogurt.
Lucie: Bread with jam, and coffee.
Who is your favorite actor or celebrity?
Lucia: I like Oliver Tree right now.
Lucie: I like Timothée Chalamet and Ryan Gosling.
Do you play sports?
Lucie: I swim at school.
What is your favorite holiday?
Lucia: I like Halloween a lot because I get to hang out with my friends.
Who is your favorite musician, and your favorite genre of music?
Lucia: I really like Jorja Smith and R&B.
Lucie: I like Lomepal and rap.
Where do you buy most of your clothes?
Lucie: Me too.
How do you spend your weekends?
Lucia: A lot of homework, and I try to hang out with my friends when I’m not doing homework. I really like watching movies, too.
Lucie: I do the same.
How do you celebrate your birthday?
Lucia: Usually, me and my parents have a really nice dinner, and we sometimes invite some friends. Then I have something with my friends later, and we all hang out together, and eat junk food as an excuse.
Lucie: I do the same thing.
What subjects do you study at school?
Lucia: Right now, I’m taking Writing for Publication, Biology, math, French, Spanish, History, and English.
Lucie: Chemistry, biology, math, English, Spanish, Latin, more English, French, History, geography, and sports. We play volleyball, and swim and run. It’s during the school day.
What is something about the other person’s life that is surprising to you?
Lucia: It’s obviously very different, but the actual essence of what we do is basically the same.
Lucie: In France we eat at 8 or 9 pm. Here, we eat at 6 or 7 pm.
Lucia: The school in France is very different. In American schools, you’re studying so you can go to college, and you study in college to get a job. But in the French school system, it’s very job-based. Some people just go to high school, but while they are in high school, they are studying for a job. Also, they have airplanes at their school! That’s crazy for me!
Lucie: for the scientific exam. The planes are for professional students, some people choose science, French, and economy classes, and others choose to prepare for a job.
