First ultimate frisbee tournament kicks off Homecoming

On Oct. 1, seniors Nikolaus Elsaesser and Ezra Cohen hosted St. Paul Academy’s first ever ultimate tournament as a start to homecoming week. They decided to organize the tournament becuase people in the SPA community were expressing more interest in ultimate frisbee.

“One of the biggest motivations for the tournament was just that we wanted to get some excitement around the sport of ultimate within the SPA community. We wanted to give people a chance to see if they liked the sport before the spring season begins,” Elsaesser said.

Elsaesser and Cohen joined forces with SPA’s Student Activities Committee to raise more attention about the tournament.
