For a school with such a strong political presence as St. Paul Academy and Summit School, one would think that a class discussion should be filled with conflicting thoughts and strong personal opinions. In reality, Harkness discussions feel like an echo chamber of impersonal reciprocated thoughts because students are afraid to voice their opposing opinions.

It is important to take advantage of student exchanges to gain friendship and an international perspective on issues.
Sophomore Isabel Dieperink combines her love of horses while volunteering at Lakeview Farm to teach children with anxiety or with an intellectual disability the joy of riding horses. I decided to apprentice with my horse trainer before I was volunteering so it was helpful to me to see and really be able to work with horses thoroughly to be able to understand their signals, and I could help teach the kids how to recognize that too, Dieperink said.
